Dylan Winefsky's passion for drag racing ignited when he was just 4 years old, inspired by his dad's altered car, which he still drives today. By the time Dylan turned 8 in August 2012, he had embarked on his own drag racing career by racing a junior dragster. He enjoyed a successful journey in the NHRA Junior Dragster League, achieving numerous victories at Tucson Dragway and Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park. Notably, he clinched a track championship at WHP in 2017 and a divisional event win in 2019, laying the groundwork for his future in professional drag racing as he aspires to obtain a Funny Car license.
In the summer of 2018, Dylan Winefsky and his dad, Robert, began their journey in the drag racing career by working with Terry Haddock Racing on their Top Fuel dragster and Funny Car. This collaboration continued through the 2019 season, during which Dylan gained invaluable knowledge about the workings of a fuel car from crew chief Johnny West, who has become a friend and mentor to him. Alongside his car chief duties on the family fuel altered, Dylan has also contributed to Rob Pasey's team and is currently in his second season with Maddern Racing's Top Alcohol team. With aspirations of obtaining his Funny Car license and a background in the NHRA Junior Dragster circuit, Dylan is well on his way in the world of professional drag racing.
After outgrowing his NHRA Junior Dragster during the Covid Shutdowns of 2020, Dylan Winefsky attended Frank Hawley's Drag Racing School and earned his Super Comp license in October 2020. In January of 2021, the family altered was detuned for Dylan to get his crossover license with plans to run it as an alcohol car. Under the guidance of Johnny, who said, "the only way to learn to drive a fuel car is in a fuel car," his drag racing career took off. That fall, Dylan earned his NHRA Nitro Funny Car license and entered his first race, the 2022 March Meet, where he qualified #3 and achieved a semi-final finish. His professional appearance and attitude earned him invitations from Fuel Altered Legends Dave Hough (Nanook) and Ron Hope (Rat Trap) to race at the Rocky Mountain Nationals and the California Hot Rod Reunion, where he was named the 2022 Legends of Nitro Rookie of the Year. Dylan earned his NHRA Nitro Funny Car license during the Monday test session after the 2025 Arizona Nationals and made his professional drag racing debut a few weeks later at the Las Vegas 4 Wides.
